Falcons Defend Title at MAC Championships Through Dreary ConditionsPublished by
STEVENSON, Md. The men's cross country went into the MAC Championship as the second seed behind Stevenson University but came out on top, earning their second-straight MAC Championship title. As a team, Messiah recorded 49 points while Stevenson put 70 on the scoresheet to take second. The Falcons' performance was highlighted by Benjamin Schott, who took control of the lead halfway through the race and never looked back. Schott finished the course in 26:20.7 to claim his individual title and is the first Messiah Falcon to do so since 2009. The team win was a full team effort as eight Falcons earned All-Conference recognition for finishing in the top-30 of the 146-runner field. Read the full article at: gomessiah.com
