ANNVILLE, Pa. - Taylor Wiederrecht was named the 2018 MAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year at the MAC Championship over the weekend. Wiederrecht won gold in the pentathlon with a new MAC Championship record 3,311 points. The previous championship best was 3,191 points set in 2014. The sophomore also took silver in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.62 meters. Wiederrecht also made the podium in the women's long jump with an eighth-place finish (5.12 meters). In the pentathlon, she took first in the high jump (1.63 meters), the shot put (9.80 meters), the long jump (4.95 meters) and the 800-meter run (2:29.00). She finished second in the pentathlon 60-meter hurdles (9.68)
